About the Writer

Dr. Matison collaborated on several editions of textbooks like Management and Supervision in Law Enforcement, Juvenile Justice, Introduction to Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, and Constitutional Law and the Criminal Justice System along with Criminal Investigation. Many of the notable strengths of Dr. Matison’s practical style and investigative acumen continue to be a trademark of this updated edition.
Christine H. Orthmann holds a Master of Science degree in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati and has spent over two decades conducting writing and research in various areas of criminal justice.
