M. DAVID HADDOCK JR. acts as Chief Leadership Officer for a regional operator of senior living communities. Formerly responsible for the educational initiatives at a top 50 CPA firm in the United States, Dr. Haddock has served in teaching and administrative capacities at several educational institutions over a 35-year career, including Auburn University at Montgomery, the University of Alabama in Birmingham, the University of West Georgia, and Chattanooga State Community College. Prior to retiring from academia, he held positions as a professor of accounting and associate vice president for academic affairs at Chattanooga State Community College in Tennessee. In addition to teaching, he managed an independent accounting and tax firm for more than two decades. Dr. Haddock earned his BS in accounting and MS in adult education from the University of Tennessee, and his EdD in higher education management from Auburn University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Tennessee, having chaired the Tennessee Society of CPAs and the Educational & Memorial Foundation of the TSCPAs in 2012–2013, as well as serving on the AICPA Council. Dr. Haddock is a frequent presenter at Continuing Professional Education programs.

MICHAEL J. FARINA retired as a professor of accounting and finance from Cerritos College in California in June 2018, after three decades of dedication to the institution. He now works as an adjunct professor at Cerritos College, teaching college accounting and other related courses. Currently, Professor Farina is part of an advisory board at a credit union serving the educational community in California. Before joining Cerritos College, he held managerial roles in the audit department of a large international CPA firm and various leadership roles in private industry. He earned a degree in business administration from Cerritos College, a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Fullerton, and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine. Professor Farina is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an honorary society for graduate business students. He is a licensed CPA in California and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Additionally, Professor Farina is a Chartered Global Management Accountant, a title conferred by a partnership between the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Professor Farina has received the Outstanding Faculty award from Cerritos College three times and served as co-chair of the Accounting and Finance Department for more than two decades.

JOHN ELLIS PRICE is a retired accounting professor from the University of North Texas. With over 36 years of involvement in academia, Dr. Price spent a significant portion of his career in leadership roles, including as the founding president and accounting professor at the University of North Texas at Dallas. He has previously held positions as a professor, assistant professor, chair, and dean at the University of North Texas, Jackson State University, and the University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Price has also been engaged with the Internal Revenue Service as a member of the Commissioner’s Advisory Group for two terms and as an Internal Revenue Agent. An accredited CPA, Dr. Price has been honored with the UNT College of Business Administration’s Outstanding Teaching Award and the university’s President’s Council Award. He pursued his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi and his PhD in accounting from the University of North Texas. Dr. Price is affiliated with the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Accounting Association, and the American Taxation Association, having previously chaired the Subcommittee on Relations with the IRS and Treasury. He has also led the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Minority Initiatives Committee and served as a Foundation Trustee.
