Holding the designation of Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Southern California (USC), School of Social Work, she presently holds the position of the acting Director of the San Diego Academic Center, Military Social Work Program at USC. For 18 years, she managed a private practice catering to military personnel and their families. With multiple collaborated journal articles and as a joint author of a book titled A Civilian Counselor’s Guide to Counseling Veterans, (2nd ed., Linus Books, 2011) and co-editor of the Handbook of Military Social Work (Wiley & Sons, 2013), Eugenia has been actively involved in research in fields including military/veteran behavioral health, diversity in social work practice, and higher education.
