About the Author

RITA SOMMERS–FLANAGAN, Ph.D., is Professor of Counselor Education at the University of Montana. She provides mental health consultation at Trapper Creek Job Corps and has lectured and authored in the field of applied, practical ethics for the past two decades.
John and Rita have co-authored nine books, including Counseling and Psychotherapy Theories in Context and Practice, Second Edition; and The right way to Listen so Parents Will Talk and Talk so Parents Will Listen, all published by Wiley.
