The fusion of digitalization and automation of numerous accounting tasks along with the abundant availability of information is reshaping the accounting field. To address this shift, accountants are increasingly mandated to possess an analytical mindset to execute their responsibilities. Expanding on the fundamental principles of accounting studied in previous courses, Introductory Data Interpretation for Financial Management delves into accounting concepts through the utilization of data analytics. We recognize students’ necessity not only to cultivate the competencies to pose relevant inquiries but also to grasp how to utilize tools they may encounter in the workplace such as Excelª and Tableauª for scrutinizing and assessing data, then effectively interpreting outcomes to facilitate business decisions.
