Dr. Karine B. Blackett is a certified life coach with over 20 years of experience in student success and career management. Dr. Blackett completed her studies at the University of Malta and gained work experience in Kenya, Africa, during her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota. She is a holder of an English Language Teaching Certificate from New School University in New York and has prior experience teaching English as a second language in Southern Japan. Dr. Blackett obtained her master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Colorado State University and went on to achieve her doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of South Dakota.

Having taught at various institutions, Dr. Blackett has been involved in doctoral online programs at Walden University and Aspen University, master’s online programs at Kaplan University, and undergraduate online programs at Virginia College Online, National American University, and the American Public University System. In addition to teaching, Dr. Blackett works as a course instructional designer and consultant for multiple institutions. She has previously held the position of career services manager at National American University and is a published author and contributor in the fields of college success and career management. Dr. Blackett is also a skilled public speaker.
