Comparative, International and Global Justice: Perspectives from Criminology and Criminal Justice delivers critical evaluations of various aspects concerning criminology, criminal justice, and global justice. The material is organized into three parts: comparative criminal justice, international criminology, and transnational and global criminology. Within each domain are specific topics that the authors consider to be contemporary and highly relevant in aiding students to gain a more profound understanding of global justice issues. Cyndi Banks and James Baker, the authors, tackle these intricate global issues using a scholarly yet accessible approach, often supported by detailed case studies. The discussion on each topic provides a comprehensive contextualized overview that elucidates the societal context in which law and crime coexist, while also delving into issues of explanation and interpretation.

The authors challenge students to acquire knowledge of international and comparative criminal justice issues and evaluate them critically. The international and global dimensions of criminal justice and criminology have become increasingly hard to overlook, and this text aims to enhance criminal justice education by focusing on some of the engaging issues in global criminology, preparing students for a future where disciplines like transnational crime are commonplace.
