About the Author
Janine Kremling, Ph.D., has served as a faculty member at California State University, San Bernardino, since 2008. She completed her doctoral studies in criminology at the University of South Florida. Dr. Kremling instructs a diverse range of courses and has authored five publications, which include Cyberspace, Data Security, and Cyber Offense; Homeland Security; Drugs, Crime, and Justice; and Estimating Drug Use. Dr. Kremling’s research focuses on policing-related issues, especially criminal procedure’s impact on law enforcement. Furthermore, she has conducted extensive research on drug consumption and misuse, as well as law enforcement responses.
Amanda Parker holds the position of Assistant Professor of Homeland Security and serves as the Coordinator of the Homeland Security program at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. She earned her Ph.D. in Criminology from the University of South Florida. Since 2005, Dr. Parker has been researching cyber threats and transnational terrorism threats. She has presented her work nationally and internationally (in England, Spain, Poland, Northern Ireland, and Wales) on various aspects of cybercrime and data security, including cyber-terrorism. She resides in Dunn, North Carolina, with her 8-year-old daughter, Tatiana, and 6-year-old son, Jax.
