Consequently, a DBMS is a versatile software system that facilitates the processes of defining, creating, and manipulating databases for numerous objectives. The primary aim of a DBMS is to provide an environment that is both practical and effective to use in retrieving and storing database information. It is an interface between the consumer of software applications, on one hand, and the database, on the other.
