He holds the position of professor of economics at New York University and is a senior research economist and professor emeritus at Princeton University. He has served as president of the American Economic Association and three other professional societies. Alan S. Blinder received his Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University, his Master of Arts from the London School of Economics, and his Ph.D. from MIT. He is a professor at Princeton University and the author of the bestseller, “After the Music Stopped,” which discusses the financial crisis and its aftermath. Dr. Blinder served on President Clinton’s initial Council of Economic Advisers and later as vice chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, actively contributing to shaping the fiscal and monetary policies of the 1990s. A regular columnist for THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, Dr. Blinder has written newspaper and magazine columns on economic policy for over three decades. He is a former Vice President and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Economic Association.
