Eldon D. Enger graduated with a B.A. and an M.S. from the University of Michigan. He is a retired professor of biology at Delta College, where he instructed biology, zoology, and environmental science and was involved in developing curriculum and courses. Advocating for diversity in teaching methods, Professor Enger believes that diverse experiences enhance students’ learning. His teaching methods include writing assignments, student-led lecture presentations, debates on controversial matters, field trips, individual student projects, and discussions on local instances and relevant current events. Professor Enger was a Fulbright Exchange Teacher in Australia and Scotland, received the Bergstein Award for Teaching Excellence and the Scholarly Achievement Award from Delta College, and volunteered in Earthwatch Research Programs.

Brad serves as the Dean Emeritus of Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. Before assuming his role as Dean in 1994, he was the inaugural Director of the Office of Environmental Education for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. Brad also held positions as the Acting President of the National Environmental Education and Training Foundation in Washington, D.C., and as a Special Assistant to the EPA Administrator. Prior to his tenure in Washington, D.C., Dean Smith taught political science and environmental studies for 15 years, and directed an environmental education center and nature sanctuary for five years.
