A new bonus e-chapter on COVID-19 and Health Regulations is now included in the eBook version. Unlike other texts that focus solely on one aspect of regulations – theory, philosophy, ethics, history, economics, or analysis – this well-balanced, interdisciplinary text thoroughly explores health regulations from various angles for a comprehensive analysis of regulations today. Tailored for postgraduate students, this balanced, interdisciplinary text systematically evaluates the health regulations process by delving into the journey leading to the present state, the current dynamics of regulation-making, and how students can influence the regulations of the future. Commencing with a discourse on political ideology and an outline of regulation-making theory and U.S. history, this exhaustive text progresses to an in-depth exploration of political ideology, the regulations process, and comparative national health systems. The book wraps up with health regulations contemporary issues, regulations outcomes, and advocacy. Due to its wide-ranging, discipline-neutral approach to the health regulations process, Administration & Regulations for U.S. Health Pioneers serves as a comprehensive, versatile resource for regulations courses in various health professions. Key Features: – Comprehensive, interdisciplinary content focusing on all subjects relevant to health regulations development for medical and non-clinical postgraduate students and professionals. – Case studies and applied scenarios, along with chapter-specific discussion prompts, prompt students to critically analyze the content and apply their knowledge. – Emphasis on new Interprofessional Education (IPE) standards, as well as accreditation requirements of postgraduate programs in health management, public health, and nursing. – Valuable instructor resources include a test bank, PowerPoint slides, an instructor’s manual, case studies, and syllabus.
