Elizabeth A. Gordon works as a professor of bookkeeping at the Fox Faculty of Enterprise at Temple College and holds the title of Merves Research Fellow. She achieved her Ph.D. from Columbia College, MBA from Yale College, and BSc in accounting, graduating with top honors from Indiana College.

Dr. Gordon specializes in worldwide financial reporting and corporate governance. Her studies have been featured in renowned journals such as the Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, Review of Accounting Studies, and Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance, among others. She holds editorial positions at the Journal of International Financial Management and Accounting and the Journal of International Accounting Research. Dr. Gordon has been the previous president of the International Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association, and currently serves as the vice president of the International Association for Accounting Education and Research, and as the Chair of the Accounting Division at the Fox School of Business.

Dr. Gordon has conducted classes in financial bookkeeping and global accounting at both graduate and undergraduate levels, earning numerous accolades for her teaching methods. She has contributed to accounting readings for the CFA Institute, merging IFRS and US GAAP. Before her academic journey, she worked as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, and interned at the US Office of Management and Budget. Dr. Gordon is a licensed CPA in the State of Maryland and has previously taught at the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago, the Rutgers Business School, and briefly as a visiting professor at the University of Pennsylvania.

Jana S. Raedy holds the position of an assistant professor of accounting, is the associate dean of the Master of Accounting Program, and the Ernst & Young Scholar in Accounting at the Kenan-Flager Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She received her BSc and MSc degrees from the University of Kentucky and her Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Raedy’s research primarily focuses on international financial reporting matters and areas where financial reporting and taxation intersect. Her work has been published in notable journals like the Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, and the Journal of the American Taxation Association.

Dr. Raedy has taught various financial reporting courses at the graduate level, including basic financial reporting, both introductory and advanced accounting, international financial reporting, and forensic accounting. With more than 15 years of experience, she has led a course on applied financial accounting research, emphasizing judgment and decision-making skills. Throughout her tenure in academia, she has been recognized with multiple teaching awards. She currently serves as a team member at the Ernst & Young Academic Resource Center, offering comprehensive teaching materials on topics like judgment, IFRS, and fair value.

Alexander J. Sannella currently serves as a professor of Accounting and Information Systems at the Rutgers Business School, as well as the Director of the MBA in Professional Accounting Program, the Director of the Master of Accountancy in Professional Accounting, and the Director of the Rutgers Business School Teaching Excellence Center. He earned a BBA in Finance and an MBA in Accounting from the LaPenta School of Business at Iona College, a Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from New York University, and also holds a BA in Music from Rutgers University.

During his tenure at Rutgers Business School, he has taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels, having also served as Associate Dean of the Business School and Vice Chair of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems. Previously, Dr. Sannella taught at New York University as an Accounting Instructor at the Stern School of Business and as an Associate Accounting Professor at Iona College’s LaPenta School of Business.

He gained public accounting experience as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and KPMG, LLP. Additionally, Dr. Sannella worked as an independent consultant on various projects with other public accounting firms, bankruptcy trustees, and leasing departments of major insurance companies. He also acted as a consultant to the Line of Business Program at the Federal Trade Commission in Washington DC. Dr. Sannella currently holds a position on the Financial Reporting Executive Committee (FinREC) at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

With over 45 years of teaching experience at the university level, Dr. Sannella has more than 35 years of expertise in designing and delivering corporate and investment bank training programs. His clients have included eight leading investment banks and four of the world’s largest commercial banks. His training programs cover courses designed for educating financial analysts, associates, and specialized sessions for sales and trading professionals.

He has authored numerous scholarly journal articles and three books. His articles revolve around market-based accounting research and recently, accounting education. Dr. Sannella’s books delve into the impact of accounting choices on the judgment of analysts and other statement users. Many of the book topics are featured in training videos and CPE courses.

He has been interviewed by various publications such as the Newark Star Ledger and NJ Biz.
