Laura A. Freberg is a psychology instructor at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where she teaches introductory psychology and biological psychology courses, both online and in-person. She also enjoys exploring technology and social media in the educational setting. Dr. Freberg’s teaching journey began when she started teaching her first college course at Pasadena City College at the age of 23. She has been recognized three times (1991, 1994, and 2009) with the University Member of the Year award from Cal Poly Disabilities Resource Center for her work with students with disabilities. A former president of the Western Psychological Association (WPA), Dr. Freberg currently serves as the psychology advisor for The New York Times In Education program.
